Levy of GST – Execution of arbitral awards – Executing Court directed Judgment debtor to pay GST @ 18% on part payment of interest awarded under arbitral awards – During pendency of writ petitions, respondent/decree-holder sought advance ruling – Gujarat Authority for Advance Ruling held no GST payable on “interest awarded under arbitration” and “costs awarded under arbitration” – Held: In view of ruling, direction of Executing Court to pay GST unsustainable – Orders quashed and set aside – Executing Court free to proceed with execution of arbitral awards in accordance with law.
