Refund of IGST on exports – The petitioner, an exporter, claimed a refund of ₹53,97,397 of IGST paid on 17 export invoices for FY 2019–2020 – The refund had not been released by the authorities – The petitioner admitted that typographical errors occurred while filing GST returns but argued that the GSTN portal lacks a correction mechanism for such mistakes – The grievance was that despite legitimate export transactions, the refund was being withheld due to technical issues – Held that: Issued notice to the Union of India and other respondents, directing service through all permissible modes including e-mail – The matter was listed for hearing on 04.08.2021 – Recognized the petitioner’s claim as a legitimate grievance requiring examination, especially considering the portal’s technical limitations.
